Sunday gatherings

one church. one gathering. every Sunday.

10:00am | Blacksburg public library

Each Sunday Gathering follows a simple, meaningful rhythm designed to help us focus on Jesus and be formed by His scriptures and presence. Here's what you'll experience:

what to expect

Our worship is focused on Jesus—not on us. We sing to and about Jesus, centering our songs on the character and work of God. We believe worship should be both reverent—honoring God for who He is—and relevant—accessible to anyone, anywhere. Through music, we proclaim God’s greatness and reflect on His presence. It’s not performance; it’s participation in something holy and true.

Songs

Each week, we read Scripture aloud—honoring God’s Word and allowing it to shape us as a community. We believe the Bible is true, trustworthy, and worthy of our full attention. By listening together, we’re reminded of who God is, who we are in Christ, and how we’re called to live. His Word encourages the brokenhearted, anchors the restless, and realigns us with truth worth celebrating.

Exalt god’s word by speaking scripture aloud

Scripture

In the middle of a noisy world, we pause to be still before Jesus. We intentionally create space in our gatherings for silence—not as filler, but as formation. In these moments, we slow down, listen, and respond to what God is saying through His Word and Spirit. Silence helps us remember that worship isn’t just what we say to God—it’s also how we listen. We reflect on who Jesus is, what He’s done, and how we are called to follow Him.

Silence

Each week, we make space to share stories of how Jesus is changing lives. Whether it's a moment of healing, a step of obedience, or quiet faith in a hard season, these testimonies remind us that the gospel is not just a message—it’s a movement. Jesus is still redeeming what’s broken, restoring what’s lost, and calling people into something new. By telling these stories, we stir faith, celebrate His goodness, and give glory where it belongs.

Stories

Each week, we open the Bible to see Jesus more clearly and follow Him more faithfully. Our sermons are rooted in Scripture, centered on the gospel, and connected to everyday life. They are meant to be understandable and deeply practical—encouraging the weary, challenging the comfortable, inspiring faith, and calling us to live differently. Each week be reminded of God’s character, confronted with truth, and invited to respond with obedience to Jesus.

 still have questions?

  • Come comfortable. Some people wear jeans and a hoodie, others dress it up a bit—it’s totally up to you. We’re more interested in who you are than what you’re wearing.

  • Not at all. Whether you're exploring faith, skeptical, or unsure what you believe—you’re welcome here. We started this church with you in mind.

  • We love having kids in our Sunday gathering! While we don’t have a separate kids’ area just yet, we offer activities to keep them engaged. Looking ahead, we’re excited to develop a kids’ ministry that partners with families—helping kids follow Jesus in a fun, safe space. As we seek a new location, that’s part of the dream!

  • We love having students in our main Sunday gathering engaging with the message and worshiping alongside everyone. Students are also encouraged to be part of the house church closest to them. In the future, we plan to create environments tailored specifically for them, but we’ll always value students being integrated into the life of the whole church.

  • That’s okay. Many people start by joining a house church or exploring faith online first. Wherever you are, we’ll walk with you at your pace.
